A low unladen weight, a very high load capacity and optimal handling: all these attributes are made possible in the new Axor by the parallel frame, which is weight-optimised, torsionally stiff and yet extremely robust; and which is available in 8 mm and 9.5 mm longitudinal member strengths. In addition to the weight-optimised design, body costs are kept low thanks to the 50 mm hole pattern, which also stops the corrosion prevention from being damaged through the drilling of additional holes. The new optional chassis protective seal is an effective means of corrosion prevention for the chassis and detachable frame components. The transparent protective film allows you to visually check the metal surface and read the nameplates.
The stabiliser links and the twin-bellows air suspension on the chassis increase the payload that can be borne. By not having air bellows at the rear of the vehicle this means that the shock absorbers can be positioned behind the axle. The result is extremely stable handling, outstanding driving dynamics and optimum roll characteristics.
For construction vehicles, the rear axle - regardless of the tonnage - is fitted with spring leaf packages consisting of two to four spring leaves.
